Welcome to FANGS, FUR, & FEY
We're a community for urban fantasy & paranormal romance authors and readers.
HISTORY
In September of '06, Melissa Marr was bored (probably the last time she's been bored) and was
chatting online with Caitlin Kittredge and me. Melissa said it would be fun to have a forum where
we could chat about writing/reading with a couple other people. We named it Fangs, Fur, and Fey,
since between the three of us, that's what our novels represented. Melissa made the LJ community,
and we started reaching out to other UF and paranormal romance authors – intending there to
be a "dozen or so" members.
As we grew, the community required more volunteers. Mark Del Franco joined us as admin; Sylvia
Day became our official site designer; Jordan Summers took over membership applications; Kate
Smith started the member newsletter; Cheyenne McCray coordinates member interviews; Jeri Smith-Ready
handles the Topic of the Week; and other members rotate duties as weekly moderators.
FFF now has over 100 members, almost 1,000 registered Watchers (and who knows how many others
joining us on rss feeds).
